Robbie’s review of the Adizero Boston 7

“It’s that perfect mix of shoe that is comfortable enough to train in for miles and miles, but fast enough to justify all the hard work on race day. If I could only ever have one road shoe for the rest of my life it would be the Adidas Boston or Adios, both of which have excellent grip, cushioning and last the test of time as well.

The Boston is the slightly more cushioned version of the racier Adios, but I have pairs of both that have seen well of 500 miles of running. The Continental grip is also one of the only treads that gives purchase on wet rock and slick conditions. It’s a sole you can trust on any bend in a race.”

Key Features

  • It harbours a 10mm drop which makes it ideal, to not only be light enough for shorter distances, but also be able to look after your calf’s/lower legs over the longer mileage.
  • The narrow fit is very specific to this model and is a feature that loyal Boston wearers love. The adidas logo consisting of three stripes adds to the midfoot hold and stability around the foot.
  • The overall low volume nature of this shoe means a snug, light weight fit which will make running feel easy and almost like the upper is a second skin on the foot.
  • One thing which makes the Boston a great shoe is the technology of the midsole. It uses adidas’ famous boost technology which is an energy rebounding thermoplastic polyurethane comprised of small pellets. They simply give back more force than you give them with each step! This combined with the stable EVA compound allows for not only a smooth transition off the foot but a fast one.
