Max Willcocks competes in the Sierre Leone Marathon -

Profeet ambassador Max Willcocks had a great outing at the Sierre Leone Marathon last weekend.

Max ran in shoes and insoles from the Profeet Run Lab to a superb 2:52 finish.

He told us about his experience:

What an AMAZING race this was out in Sierra Leone!

This marathon was something a little special. It started with a 3:50am wake up call, 4am breakfast and a 6am start in the dark.

We then followed a beautiful course through the towns and communities of Sierre Leone. All the local kids were out to support us with shouts of ‘aporto’ – a colloquialism for ‘white man’ – their way of cheering us on.

It was a massively tough day out in the heat and on a course that’s pretty darn hilly. I’m really happy with a time of around 2:52 (there’s no official clock timing out here!)

Thanks for the report Max, it sounds like a great race.
