The Mizuno Wave Rider 20 - Is it their best yet? -

The Mizuno Wave Rider 20 is a stable neutral shoe, which has been a firm favourite among runners for years.

Now in its 20th model, Mizuno’s most well-known shoe has had an upgrade for 2017. Since being released on 01 December the Profeet team have given it their approval but the question remains – is the best Mizuno Wave

Key Facts
Men’s Weight: 290g (UK 8)
Women’s Weight: 240g (UK 5.5)
Stack heights: 31mm heel,
19mm forefoot Drop Heel to Toe: 12mm

What are its features?

The Wave Rider 20 has its signature ‘cloud wave’ through it giving smoother transition from heel through to the forefoot and a seamless feel underfoot.

U4icX is new in the Wave Rider 20 heel to give increased comfort as well as a more responsive ride. It’s very light so adds comfort without weighing the shoe down.

There’s a softer collar than the 19 version through the heel counter and larger holes in the mesh for breathability within the upper on the forefoot. This is the bonus of triple-engineered mesh that Mizuno have used in this shoe: support, structure and comfort from a simple upper.

Quick Profeet Review

“Good mid-foot hold and I loved the propulsive feel off the heel.”
“Has that slipper feel especially at the heel.”
“Forefoot feels stable.”
“One of our strongest neutral shoes.”

So the 20th incarnation of the Mizuno Wave Rider is looking like the best yet. For more info and to test this shoe, please contact the Profeet Run Lab on 020 7736 0046.
