Biomechanical Assessment and Analysis
Our comprehensive biomechanical assessment is second to none. We start by assessing your foot shape, type and function before using state-of-the-art analysis technology* to better understand your running movements and foot function and build a picture of your footwear and custom insole needs.

 

*We use HD video gait analysis and 3D foot pressure scanning technologies and our 3D MOTION LAB assessments can help us delve deeper into your running technique.

Custom Insoles
Custom insoles are the secret of the Profeet custom run fit. Custom moulded to your feet, they provide individual support and cushioning for your needs. They are then hand finished to fit and work with your shoes fine-tuning the support and cushioning while also improving the fit and comfort. We are fanatical experts in running shoes and work closely with shoe manufacturers to select the best possible range of running shoes for our customers.

 

Based on your assessment and analysis we select the most appropriate shoes from our range for your foot shape, foot type, function and running biomechanics. We then test the relevant models to narrow down the selection.

 

Having chosen the best model, the fit and support is fine-tuned to your exact needs by fitting your custom insoles to your shoes.

Our 3D technology allows us to work on your technique and gait in real-time to help improve running efficiency, reduce joint loads, improve gait & stride etc.

This appointment does not include custom insoles or running shoe fitting.

You must be able to run at over 9kph on a treadmill.

You will need to wear close-fitting running gear. For best analysis results please wear lighter/brighter colours, rather than black, for improved contrast.

Run Lab appointment notes:

1 Appointment time length can vary slightly depending on individual requirements. If you arrive late, we may need to alter the assessment to suit the available time, or to rebook you an alternative date and time.

2 Additional insoles can be purchased during your appointment. However, it may not be possible to finish more than one pair during an appointment and later collection or posting may be necessary.

3 Custom Insoles, Running shoes and other footwear are charged separately and not included in the Assessment cost unless stated e.g. part of a package.

4 For a 3D Assessment, you must be able to run at 9km/h (5.6mph), (6:40min/km), (10:44 min/mile) on a treadmill for at least a minute. You will need to run in suitable close-fitted clothing for accurate motion detection. Light coloured clothing should be worn and dark colours avoided.
