Biomechanical Analysis and Foot Assessment

We measure and assess your feet in detail, looking at length, width, arch height, foot shape, volume and function. We discuss any previous issues you may have had as well as your skiing ability and terrain preference and any specific needs.

 

Foot Scanning

A special pressure plate is used to scan your feet. This reveals your natural weight distribution and more details about your foot shape and type and how these specifics might influence your ski boot needs and how your boots need to be set up and tuned.

Ski Boot Selection

We stock one of the widest ranges of ski boots in the UK. We select our models for comfort, fit and skiing performance after thorough testing.

When identifying suitable boots for you, we primarily consider foot shape, volume, arch height and calf size (we don’t choose boots by colour or brand name). We use the results of your ski assessment and our boot knowledge, taking into consideration your ability and terrain preference, to find the best possible fit.

Custom Ski Insoles

Our custom insoles form the foundation of your custom-fitted ski boots. A high definition mould of your feet, taken in a ski stance, supports your feet and reduces fatigue while skiing. They also stabilise your foot and reduce movement inside the boot that could result in rubbing or pressure points.

 

Fit Guarantee

We understand that you need to ski in your boots to really feel how they fit. Needing an adjustment is not uncommon following a holiday as the fit of a boot is dependent on so many variables. That’s why we offer a comprehensive Fit Guarantee that goes above and beyond your statutory rights.

 

Shell Customisation & Custom Liners

We are experts when it comes to customisation. We have specialist tools to heat and stretch and even grind the inside of boot shells. We can shape a boot to better follow the contours of your foot and leg and relieve pressure on bunions and bone spurs. The addition of a custom liner can further personalise your boots to enhance comfort and performance according to your requirements.

Ski boots vary considerably in size, fit, function and performance depending on the type of boot, manufacturer and model. With a hard shell and soft inner-boot both influencing the way they fit and making it difficult to judge if they fit correctly.

  • – Each has at least 3 seasons of boot fitting experience with Profeet, along with multiple seasons of ski boot fitting in other locations.

Please be aware, these services are unavailable during peak season (December – February). We also do not sell ski boots in any of the following appointments.

Bootwork Appointment – £149.95 | Duration: 1 hour
For those requiring modification of their ski boots.
Your appointment includes biomechanical assessment, and all required modification work (e.g. shell stretches, liner modifications, basic set up).
– Extra time (charged pro rata) may be required depending on the extent of the modifications required and may not be available on the same day.
– We are unable to offer our Fit Guarantee with this appointment.

Custom Insoles Appointment – £199.95 | Duration: 1 hour
For those requiring custom insoles for their ski boots.
Your appointment includes comprehensive biomechanical and plantar pressure analysis, and fabrication of Profeet Custom Ski Insoles.

Custom Liner Appointment – From £180 to £365 | Duration: 1 hour
We offer a wide range of custom liner options from Sidas, Zipfit and Intuition. Each delivers tailored enhancements in comfort and control. The different liner technologies can work better for particular foot shapes and skiing needs.

– Intuition – £180 to £195
– Sidas Foam Injection – £250 to £280
– Zipfit – £365

Please note: Custom ski insoles are required for the correct fitting of any custom liners.
They can either be supplied by you or fabricated by Profeet at the time of your appointment (+£199.95).

At Profeet, your ski boot fitting doesn’t end when you leave the shop – it begins when you ski.

Every pair of ski boots fitted by us comes with our Ski Fit Guarantee, giving you ongoing support to help maintain comfort and performance on the mountain. Follow-up appointments and refinements are a normal part of the boot fitting process, which is why we include up to 6 years of complimentary fit adjustments from the date of purchase.

If your boots are not performing as expected, we’ll work with you to assess, refine and optimise the fit. If, despite our best efforts, we are unable to achieve the level of fit we expect, we may offer an exchange to an alternative model within the first 2 years of purchase.
