We were delighted to welcome Elise Downing in to Profeet yesterday to test our new 3D Motion Lab.

Elise is known for her 5000 mile self-supported run around the coast of the UK, so economy of motion and load has been vital to her.

This is what she had to say about the Profeet’s 3D Motion Lab:

As you might have gathered by now, I’m a pretty unscientific runner – as long as nothing hurts too much and I get to eat loads, I’m happy – but I met up with Gary from ULTRAtonight for a chat about running and to try out the 3D motion lab at Profeet and it was SO fascinating.

Apparently I get full marks for joint loading and efficiency, which might be how I managed to plod around the coast without getting injured (and is highly surprising given that most of the time I feel like a baby elephant). I’m never going to be the person running the fastest splits but I’ll be proudly clinging on to my A* gait scores for a very long time to come.
