On the back of securing bronze medals at the European Championship in October, last month, Emily went to China for another event needed to help her in her bid to qualify!
She did incredibly well amongst a tough field of very talented lifters. In her category 87+kg she was able to secure a bronze medal in the snatch lifting a PB of 119kg. After the C&J her overall total was 271kg which secured her 4th place overall.
This magnificent result has put her in a very strong position to secure her qualification for Tokyo.
Emily is still fundraising for her competitions to take her to the Olympic Games as sadly there is very little funding for the sport in the UK! If you are able please donate at the link to her support Emily’s dreams of going to the Games.
