Pierre Meslet on his 250km in under a week challenge

The idea is to test my body and see if I am able to handle 250km of running in less than a week. I will only carry the water and food needed for each stage (unlike at the MdS where you carry a whole week of food in your backpack). I will use all the help at my disposal: good food at home, ice baths, Compex, massages, sleeping at home…

If I manage to complete each stage well, then I will enter the Marathon des Sables 2020. Of course the 2020 MdS will be very different from this personal/fun challenge 🙂 At least I will know I can cover the distance when all the external factors are under my control, which definitely won’t be the case in the Desert by 40 degrees!

I would love to have people joining me for some of the stages, whole of it or sections of it. It could be a good incentive for local people to go out and run. Although the distances will be long, the pace won’t be fast, so runners of almost all abilities should be able to join.
