On Wednesday 8th February, Profeet is hosting a unique fundraising event in the lead up to the global ‘Wings For Life‘ run on Sunday 7th May 2017.
The evening will replicate the Wings For Life format giving runners the chance to try and stay ahead of the chasing vehicle (in this case a bicycle) to stay in the race.
Leading the pack on the 4.5 mile run along the Thames Path to our Fulham store will be Profeet-sponsored athlete Robbie Britton.
The Evening Schedule
Our event will start from the ‘Coach and Horses‘ pub on Barnes High Street at 6pm. Barnes Bridge is the nearest public transport station.
A bag drop will provided at pub and your kit will then be transported to the Profeet store in Fulham for collection later.
Before the race there will be a short talk by Wings For Life about their event and why you should support it.
We will be providing Silva headtorches for use on the night, plus Puma Running tops and Wings for Life towels to keep for every participant. You can view a GPX file of the route here.
How long can you stay ahead of the chase vehicle?
The runners will be led by Robbie and chased down by Mark Anderson by bike. When he catches you you’re out of the race, but you can just continue your run back to the store.
* Please bring along a headtorch if you have one!
Once back in Fulham at Profeet, dinner will be provided and there will be a short talk by Robbie Britton.

The Wings for Life World Run was launched in 2014 to benefit the not-for-profit Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injury.
