Brand new and exciting from K2 this season, the Mindbender provides a perfect balance of lightweight uphill mobility and powerful downhill performance. It is designed for those who want to ski the entire mountain without making any compromises.
A roomy 98mm last and tall instep, and deep heel and ankle pocket provide a generous option in an otherwise crowded freeride/touring market. A Pebax cuff allows stability and direct power transfer, but also and helps reduce weight.
The Powerlite shell is easily customisable and thermo-mouldable Ultralon liner provides both warmth and a solid heel and ankle hold. GripWalk soles give excellent traction when walking and scrambling over rocks, standard alpine soles are also available.
Both the 120 and 130 flexes come in at 1675g (26/26.5) and the Powerlock Spyne walk mode releases to enable 50° range of cuff motion.
At Profeet we think that this is a great option for those looking for that one boot that can go everywhere, it works well for those customers with medium-high volume feet despite the stated last. It is lightweight so tours up extremely well but the downhill performance is equally as good.
