World 50km Treadmill Record attempt at Profeet -

On Saturday 13 December Profeet is organising an ultra running bonanza – and amongst the great events going on, we will be hosting a world record  attempt.

World 50k Treadmill Record attempt

Profeet ambassador and Centurion Team runner, Paul Navesey, will be trying to break the world 50km treadmill record.

The current record is held by Stephen Courtney with a time of 3:09:08, set in Perth in 2010.  To beat this time, Paul will need to average 3:47 km/min.

We are just waiting for the final council permission, but we are hoping that Paul will make his attempt beneath a Profeet gazebo outside our store in Fulham.

Ultra running bonanza

In addition to the world record we have plenty more going on:

  • Salomon Running’s incredible new S-Lab Sense race vest will be available to test.  This isn’t due to be released until January 2015 – so this is a great first chance try both the one and three litre versions.  The product will also be available to pre-buy on the day at an early bird 10% discount.
  • Rocktape will be attending for free demonstrations.
  • Leki and X-socks will also be on hand to offer advice on the best socks for ultra running and how to use poles most effectively.

10% off footwear on the day

Our ‘Ultra Day’ will run (geddit?) from 10am to 3pm, with the world record attempt starting at 11am.

Profeet are offering 10% off footwear purchased on the day and we will also be supporting the charity ‘Bustin Your Balls

We look forward to seeing you then and cheering Paul on together.
