Adidas Supernova ST

Profeet thoughts: Overall, the Adidas Supernova ST is not as supportive as the Sequence 9. If you had that shoe previously this will not be a direct replacement. This shoe is a lot softer and less stable but still a great shoe in its own right, which is still able to cover half marathon & marathon distance.

Around the heel counter the design takes the shape from the Ultra boost in terms of the lip which is lined for comfort. The whole upper construction used engineered mesh to provide ventilation where necessary.

The fit of the upper is fairly narrow overall, especially through the midfoot. Toe box is also narrow but still allows enough volume for the toes to splay comfortably.

The midsole of this shoe is lacking the EVA heel counter of the previous Sequence model. The Boost material runs all the way through the Supernova ST and only has small elements of EVA encasing the midsole. This makes the ride far softer and less stable than its predecessor

The outsole of the shoe uses rubber from continental tyres and so is extremely durable, more so than many of the brands competitors. The Stretch web geometry of the rubber, allows the boost to be exposed to aid with the responsive ride of the shoe.
