Daisy Baker is 14 years old and is now one of our youngest ambassadors on the Profeet team.
We have worked with Daisy Baker through Storm Trentham and her brand DBA Sports.
Profeet highly value the opportunity to work with and educate young athletes on their running and help them to reach the best of their abilities. Daisy is no exception and she has used the help and guidance given to her by the team here at Profeet to develop her running and fitness which she is now using across a spectrum of sports.
I was lucky enough to visit Profeet in September 2016 for insoles and trainers for the new season. They honestly made such a huge difference and I PBed the first 3 times I wore them! 2017 has been my most successful season ever. I’ve trained hard and raced well and without injury which I put hugely down to my correct footwear. I achieved Silver in the 800m at National level, set the fastest time in the world for my age on the rowing machine and won 2 x Silver British rowing medals. I’m honoured to be an ambassador, thank you Profeet”

Daisy is a multi-talented young athlete who has immense potential; she’s a National level runner and GB level rower and is looking to further develop herself in lacrosse. Her PBs speak for themselves:
ATHLETICS
- 2:24 for 800m to take silver at the National Schools Athletics Championships 2017
- 5km running time of 19:55
ROWING
- 2km row time 7:55min which is the fastest in the World for her age and 16th fastest lightweight woman in the world this year.
- Double silver medallist at the British Indoor Rowing Championship 2017 in the 500m and 4min time trial… her first ever rowing competition.
Storm Trentham says
“What makes her stand out is the determination, work rate and self-sacrifice that she shows which are way beyond her years. Not many 14 year olds have the mindset or maturity to forgo the daily socialising of a teenager to fit in extra training/competitions both during and after school hours as well as the majority of her weekends. She only introduced rowing into her athletics programme to mix up her training in June, and having only ever sat on an erg around 12 times, the fact that she’s now the fastest U14 2km rower in the world and the British double silver medallist speaks volumes. Her talent is endless and we know Profeet will support her and play a massive part in future successes.”
