The Arctic V visit Profeet to prepare for the Arctic Circle Race -

It’s now less than a month until Chemmy Alcott, Chris Brooks, Richard Gibbs, Adam Libbey and Max Willcocks will be taking part in the world’s toughest cross country ski race – the Arctic Circle Race.

The race is 160km over three days in a harsh environment where temperatures can drop as low as -35C.

Ski boot fitting at Profeet
For a challenge like this, the team wanted to prepare as well as they possibly could, which is why they visited Profeet earlier this month.

Chemmy has visited Profeet before as part of her preparation for the event to make sure her ski boots were as good as they possibly could be.

Foot assessment, biomechanics and custom insoles
We sat down and went through a full foot and mobility assessment, looking out for any particular issues with the fit.

Then it was onto the treadmill to check biomechanics and movement, before creating some custom insoles to help the foot fit the boot as well as it possible.

New World Record
Progress so far has been great and only last week the team set a new world record for the fastest mile on roller skis by a linked team.

Raising funds for Ski4Cancer
We wish the Arctic V all the best in their goal of finishing the event and raising funds for Ski4Cancer.
