Profeet Running Shoe Review: Mizuno Inspire 13

Mizuno Inspire 13

  • Price: £120
  • Mild Support
  • Weight: 260g
  • Drop/Stack height: 12mm drop
(32mm in the heel & 20mm in the forefoot)

General fit for Mizuno Inspire 13 trainers are wide in the forefoot, narrower midfoot and high hold round the ankle for comfort. Volume throughout the shoe is good so for those with a high instep who need slight guidance this is a good option.

Profeet review: The Mizuno Inspire 13 is a great guidance shoe on the market. The light weight feel of Mizuno coupled with the support makes it stand out against its counterparts from other brands. A key feature we like is the forefoot width. This width allows for a better fit for that wider shaped foot, room for greater foot splay when running as well as giving the runner a stable position to drive off of the forefoot.

1. Upper: The Mizuno Inspire 13 has a breathable dual layer mesh upper over the toe box. The mid foot is reinforced with overlays, including the Mizuno Runbird logo being an integral part of this.

2. Midsole: Compiled of a double fan shaped Wave plate for moderate support with dynamic cushioning. The cushioning with the U4icX system is soft but stable under the foot

3Outsole: Increased blown rubber in forefoot for improved softness. X10 in the heel for reinforcement on initial contact for heel/midfoot strikers.
