Fearless freeskier/influencer
Hugh, a keen skier, has been selected by Snowsport England freeski squad (B) to attend their training camps and, in his own words, ‘see how far he can go’. Hugh is not only an enthusiastic and fearless skier, but also a whizz on social media. He regularly posts content of his activities and progress on his channels, bringing the intricacies of training in the UK, on airbags and in the Alps, to the masses. Take a look:
On the way up
It’s great to catch Hugh in the formative stages and see just what it takes to train, practice and work your way up the scale. Like most GB skiers, Hugh faces the challenge of not having any actual snow on the doorstep as the UK has no Alps – more’s the pity. He therefore trains at indoor snow slopes and dry slopes, adding an extra layer of complexity to his training regime. Hugh Tells us:
I’ve anticipated the 2025 ski season for several months now and I’m determined to make it an unforgettable one. I’ve attended a few airbag camps with Snowsport England over the summer and I’ve dialled in a couple of bigger tricks that I’m planning on getting on snow this season. I want to see how far I can progress in freeskiing and where it will take me. I’m already really pleased with the progress I’ve made having only started freeskiing three years ago.
No pain, no gain!
We’re enjoying following Hugh’s progess and watching his antics on the snow – bringing new tricks to the table – and occasionally wiping out. But he’s resilient and willing to work on technique and style. Now, training in his Profeet custom fitted ski boots, he has an added advantage.

Why not follow Hugh on Instgram or TikTok and learn a trick or two. Go easy, these are not for the beginner or faint-hearted. But you might pick up a few tips for riding some rails in the snow park.
