Few athletes radiate the energy, resilience and love of sports and adventure quite like Aimee Fuller. A two-time Winter Olympian and one of Britain’s most recognisable faces in snow sports, her journey has now evolved far beyond the mountain to embrace a career in television presenting.
From Team GB to the TV Studio
Born in Farnborough, Aimee rose through the ranks to become one of Team GB’s leading snowboarders, competing at both the Winter Olympics 2014 and Winter Olympics 2018. Known for her utterly fearless approach to Slopestyle and Big Air, she consistently ranked among the world’s best, even breaking new ground as one of the first women to land a double backflip in competition.
Her Olympic journey didn’t just showcase her athletic ability it was the springboard that launched her bubbly personality into the sports presenting world. Aimee’s upbeat commentary during Team GB’s historic snowboarding medal-moment in Sochi made headlines and established her trademark broadcasting style.
Ski Sunday and Beyond
Since stepping back from elite competition, Aimee has become an ever more familiar face in UK sport. She’s a regular presenter on Ski Sunday and has brought her insight and energy to major events, including the Winter Olympics, where she worked alongside fellow Olympian (and friend of Profeet), Chemmy Alcott.
Since parking her snowboard, running in particular has become a major part of her life in recent years. She has completed marathons across the globe, including an extraordinary run in North Korea – not everybody’s marathon of choice but certainly a brave one – and she continues to seek out new physical challenges.
London Landmarks Half Marathon
Most recently, she took on the London Landmarks Half Marathon, sharing the experience with her Mum, (you can see where she gets her sporting genes from). The LLHM is a popular annual 13.1-mile race held on closed roads through central London. First launched in 2018, it stands out as the only half marathon to pass through both the City of London and the City of Westminster, offering runners a unique route through the capital’s historic core.
Participants run past iconic sights such as Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye and Tower Bridge, while also discovering lesser-known locations and quirky historical details along the course.
It’s a fun route with plenty to keep you amused as you pound the streets and a good introduction to the possibility of the London Marathon – if you can get through the ballot.
The Importance of Getting the Right Footwear
As Aimee’s focus has expanded into endurance sport, so too has her appreciation for the technical side of performance particularly when it comes to footwear. After experiencing discomfort while running, she initially turned to Profeet for a full biomechanical assessment and custom insole fitting. The impact was immediate.
Within weeks, she transitioned from struggling through short distances to running comfortably and pain-free over longer mileage. For an athlete whose lifestyle is built on movement, that change was, in her own words, transformative.
“It’s crazy how important it is to be wearing the correct footwear and what a difference it can make to have any mechanical and imbalance issues ironed out.”
Aimee credits Profeet with helping her through her snowboard to running transition and continues to visit the Lab for more custom insoles, footwear and biomechanical check-ins whenever needed. It goes without saying, she creates quite a buzz at the Lab and is a memorable figure on the treadmill with her spirited banter and boundless energy.
Go Aimee! Keep on running!
