We were delighted to welcome avid runner and well known ‘Dragon’ Sara Davies MBE, into the Profeet Sports Lab.
Successful businesswoman and entrepreneur, Sara, founded Crafter’s Companion whilst still at university in 2005. Today her business exports to over 40 countries worldwide, and in 2016 she was awarded an MBE for services to the economy. Sara joined the renowned ‘Dragon’s Den’ television series in 2019 and has also since competed in the popular BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.
The Great North Run
Keen runner, Sara, has decided to take on the Great North Run this September to raise funds for the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust Charity.
Though I really enjoy running in my spare time, this isn’t just a personal challenge for me, it’s also a great way to raise awareness of the crucial services they provide and to pay tribute to the tireless efforts of their staff for our community.”
When we learned of Sara’s endeavours, we were very happy to support her in her 13.1 mile challenge, and were delighted to provide Profeet’s Signature Running Shoe Fitting service with custom insoles to help her on her way.
Sarah spent time with Profeet Biomechanist, Tom, who evaluated her running and gait style and created custom insoles to support her feet. He then selected the best running shoes for her foot type and completed the fitting process.
I wish I’d known about this years ago! I saw the specialist and he checked all of the muscles in my feet and my legs. They had me on the treadmill looking at how I run. They have then made theses special insoles for my trainers, oh my word, its revolutionary!”
Sara is now kitted out and ready to run!
We’d like to wish Sara every success with the Great North Run and her fund raising efforts for the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust Charity. If you’d like to make a donation please click here
