Profeet thoughts:
The Wave Sky 3 is a big change from the Wave Sky 2 mainly due to the midsole. It does slightly add weight to the shoe but is worth the sacrifice for that great soft spongy feeling. The design of the upper is very slick to give the shoe a streamlined look and the shape allows nicely for wider feet overall. Also, for those who have bunions and need a neutral shoe, this shape is great.

  1. The Wave Sky 3 is the highest cushioned neutral shoe from Mizuno. The are some updates to this model from last season’s shoe – all very positive and with no change to the price!
  2. This shoe has a naturally wide toe box both in shape and volume. The overlays are all seamless and so no irritation points are present at all. The AeroHug mesh holds the foot securely without being constrictive.
  3. The midsole of this shoe is what is most impressive. The combination of the U4icX midsole and their new XPOP PU ultra soft responsive cushioning sits encased in the midsole. This give the Sky 3 that slipper-soft feel under foot.
  4. The shoe has a great external heel counter which is plush and padded to offer a great foothold as well as comfort.
