Emily Campbell, Tokyo Olympics Silver Medal

The Olympics is a big deal for sports people the world over. It represents the pinnacle of sporting achievement and is the dream that every elite athlete harbours.

Our Ambassador Programme
At Profeet, we support up-and-coming athletes through our Ambassador Programme that offers biomechanical analysis, custom insole and custom fitted footwear and ski boots services to improve performance and help prevent injury. Over the years we’ve witnessed some amazing successes including Jenny Jones who took Olympic Bronze in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Emily Campbell sets the bar
Today we have something new to celebrate with Emily Campbell taking Olympic Silver in the Women’s Weightlifting 87+kg category at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

We’re not surprised as she has been on great form scooping no less than 3 gold medals at the European Championships earlier this year. And this following some setbacks that saw Emily struggling with injury.

Profeet analysis and custom insoles helped put her back on the right track and today all her hard work and dedication has come to fruition. Our sincere congratulations for a medal well earned.

We’ve been gripped by the Olympics
Emily isn’t our only Ambassador at the Tokyo Olympics. This year we are also supporting fellow Team GB and British Weightlifters, Sarah Davies and Emily Godly (Muskett), both of whom put on a tremendous performance coming 5th and 7th in their categories respectively.

Over in the Table Tennis arena, Team GB was represented by Tin-Tin Ho the first British woman to qualify for the Olympics in this sport since 1996. She faced a tough opening round with India’s no.1 Manika Batra, ultimately losing after an otherwise strong performance. Tin-Tin was philosophical and looking ahead to Paris, “I’m happy with how I played and I’ve made progress. Hopefully, it can be the start of a lot more.”

Congratulations to all
It’s a massive achievement simply to make the selection for Team GB. Competition is understandably huge not to mention the pressure and we’re always delighted when our Ambassadors make the grade and we’re right behind them all the way. We congratulate them all and will continue to offer our support as they move forward in their sport.

In the meantime, enjoy your success Emily!
