Introducing Pierre
Ultrarunner Pierre, is no stranger to long distance running having completed the Ultra Trail de Montblanc in 2021 closely followed by his first crack at the daunting Marathon Des Sables where he took an amazing 9th position overall in the singles category.
An Osteopath by day, he is a keen athlete with a deep understanding of the workings of the human body and what it takes to reach peak performance, and maintain form in a sustainable way.
Marathon Des Sables 2023
Recognising that it would be a tall order to beat the prevailing champions, the Moroccan born Morabity brothers, Pierre hatched a plan to enter the team event along with some fellow runners from his homeland, France. Pierre (who also has British Citizenship), is a long-time friend and ambassador of Profeet, so we were more than happy to support him in his 2023 Marathon Des Sables quest.
Success!
Pierre’s plan worked like a dream and Team France took the lead in the team competition going on to win. Pierre himself, improved on his 2021 individual success coming in 6th place overall, an astonishing achievement given the hardship that this legendary race involves.
